Our Approach

We are direct importers specializing in European style furniture and custom-built pieces. Situated near Morristown, in the New Jersey countryside, with a free standing showroom and customer parking, we are easy to visit and carry a substantial inventory for immediate delivery. In England we have our own workroom producing custom-built antique replica furniture and we work with clients and designers to build to their exact requirements. Now in our 18th year, we offer a design service, furniture customizing and repair, window treatments, upholstery and custom sofas. We personally deliver to your home and take care of all the installation. If we are building a custom piece in England for you, we manage the entire process door to door and provide line drawings, wood samples and pictures as the project progresses.

About Richard

Richard Bevan moved from England to America over 20 years ago and began importing furniture from Europe to his store in Morristown. Over the years he has supplied classic yet bold centerpieces and accents to homes throughout the area, and custom built many enduring items.

Prior to establishing Richard Bevan Furniture, Richard owned and operated one of the most respected ice cream brands in all of England (see pictures below)!

Now situated in his own building in the rural village of New Vernon, Richard enjoys working with clients and designers, and always carries a large stock of fine furniture. With regular shipments from England custom orders are built and shipped within a six week period, and port clearance and home delivery is all handled by Richard Bevan Furniture. He offers a full upholstery service, both building new pieces or reupholstering an old favorite, in home furniture repair and polishing service, and delivery and furniture rearranging.
